New Heaven and New Earth
New Jerusalem
Rev 21:1-2 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
The new heaven and new earth will be created to replace the present corruptible and temporal heaven and earth.
Jerusalem (a shadow of New Jerusalem) during the time of King David was the Holy city of God. Jerusalem then housed the Temple (Tabernacle) of God, the dwelling (palace) of King David and the dwellings of the priesthood and Levites, who served in the temple.
This New Jerusalem will also house the Throne (Tabernacle) of God, the dwelling (palace) of the bride of the Lamb, and the dwellings of His servants.
So when New Jerusalem comes come down from the new heaven to the new earth, it will be very glorious for God is delighted with the preparation of the bride of the Lamb. Once again God will dwell with men, where they will no longer be any sorrow, nor tears, nor pain, nor death which have all passed away with the old heaven and old earth.
At the same time on the New Earth, God will celebrate the wedding of the Lamb and His bride, who is arrayed with fine linen for she is worthy to become His bride.
Rev 21:3-4 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
Rev 21:5-6 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
Our Lord God Almighty assures everyone who dwells in New Jerusalem to drink freely from the river of life for He is faithful to His promises and true to His words.
Rev 21:7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
All those, who overcome Satan, have willingly crucified their flesh and are free from worldly bondages. They also have kept His words and have been transformed by His truth into His image bearing the fruit of the Spirit.
When they are tested with persecutions, tortures and death, they will overcome Satan's deceptions, temptations and heresies.
They will inherit all things including becoming the bride of the Lamb. Some will become priests of God and some as kings will sit on Jesus' throne serving Jesus, the King of kings.
All of them can also partake of the fruit of the tree of life and drink from the river of life.
Rev 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
All these have succumbed to the deceptions and heresies of the devil because they were;-
Cowardly - fearful of men, pains, sufferings, persecutions, exclusion and death.
Unbelieving - faithless, reject Jesus and disobey His words
Abominable - sodomites, heretics, rebelled against God and His words.
Murderers - heartless, cruel, loveless and those who hate his brethren
Sexually immoral - adultery, fornication, pervert sexualities.
Sorcerers - practice lies, deceptions and lying wonders.
Idolaters - idol worshippers including those who worship money, saints, images, etc.
All liars - deceivers, liars and servants of Satan the father of lies.
All these failures will be cast into the Lake of fire because they are worldly, carnal, depraved and heretics, for they are faithless, proud and unrepentant.
