The Male Child
5th Seal – Wrath of Satan/Tribulation
Rev 12:2, 5 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth... She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.
This male Child is given birth by the glorious church through much suffering (in pain)
Who is this male Child?
1. He Rules with a Rod of Iron
Rev 2:18, 20 "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ' These things says the Son of God... Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols."
Overcomers, who reject Jezebel and her prophecies, distorted truth and heresies will rule (with an iron rod) alongside Jesus in justice and in truth.
Rev 2:26-27 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations -- 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels' -- as I also have received from My Father;"
2. Taking Up to the Throne of God
Rev 3:14, 17-18 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write...Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' -- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked -- "
This church is rich and powerful but miserable, blind and naked because it has robbed God and hoarded up His wealth thereby depriving His many ministries (mission, charitable homes for poor, aged and destitutes) of much needed fund.
Overcomers in these rich churches (prominent in the last days) are taken to the thrones of God.
Rev 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
Who is an Overcomer?
From the 7 churches in Rev 2-3, an overcomer is a true disciple of Jesus, who keeps His words, walks in truth, rejects and exposes denominational distortions and heresies, and is filled with the fruit of the Spirit. He loved not his life in keeping His words and in fulfilling God's will for him - even martyrdom.
as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His
throne
Our Lord Jesus, who was full of grace and truth, was a perfect example of an Overcomer, who accepted sufferings and crucifixion in His complete obedience to God's words and will.
The 'male Child' are overcomers in Christ Jesus, who have been transformed into His image.
1st Christian Martyr
Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God
Stephen had loved Jesus by keeping His commands, so Jesus loved him and manifested Himself to him.
John 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Acts 7:59-60 And
they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive
my spirit.” Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not
charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Stephen displayed his faith in Jesus by accepting martyrdom. He displayed his love for the salvation of the Jews when he pleaded with God to forgive the Jews for his martyrdom.
Stephen was an overcomer at his martyrdom. The glorious woman (church) had given birth to the first member of the 'male Child' (martyred Stephen).
