Revelation Chapter 6 (R06-6a)

      Sixth Seal - Rapture

Great Heavenly Blackout
Rev 6:12  I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
The Great Heavenly Blackout above corresponds to what Jesus taught in Matt 24 and Mark 13. The blackout heralds the Lord's coming in the clouds when the Period of Tribulation ends. It is time to put aside the heretical teachings of pre-Tribulation, mid-Tribulation, and secret Rapture which contradict the teachings of Jesus.
Mat 24:29  "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

A great earthquake
The magnitude of these unprecedented worldwide seismic waves sends everyone running for their lives into open spaces. Men standing on violently shaking ground will feel that the whole heaven is shifting and rolling up.
Without sunlight, the moon will turn into blood red before turning black altogether. Imagine the terror and the bedlam on all living beings on that dreaded day.

Stars fall from heaven
Rev 6:13  And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
As the whole sky becomes completely black, many tiny lights appeared in heaven. As they grow bigger they look like stars, which seem to fall to earth as figs falling from the trees. At the same time, there will be the sounding of trumpets in the heavens that can be heard everywhere on earth. As these stars become bigger and bigger, the trumpets' sound gets louder and louder. The mistaken stars are the descending angels who accompany the Lord of Host.
Rev 1:20b  The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

Jesus Coming on the Clouds
Mat 24:30-31  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Jesus, the King of kings, heralded by the angelic host, will return to earth in power and in glory. With the booming sound of trumpets, no one will miss the supernatural sight.

1 Cor 15:51-52  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The last trumpet above is unrelated to the seven trumpets in Rev 8. At the twinkling of an eye, the dead in Christ will rise followed by the gathering of His elect at the sound of the last trumpet from the Archangel. They will meet the Lord in the clouds and be brought into His eternal kingdom.
1Thess 4:16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Counted Worthy for Rapture
Tit 2:11-13  for the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Let's be counted worthy to be caught up with the Lord at Rapture, by being holy.
