Dan 11:30 For ships
from Chittim shall come against him; therefore he (king of the North)
shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do
damage. So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy
covenant.
King of the North
The king of the North is the 86 year old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He is Iran's spiritual leader and highest authority - he has the final say over all government matters in the country.
Shia Muslims set up a formal clergy system, with religious leaders called 'imams', who were descendants of Muhammad and whom the Shia consider to be the sole interpreters of Islamic theology. The head imam is given the title of Ayatollah.
The Shia Twelvers believe that after Iran has been wiped out by its enemies, the twelfth and final Imam (Mahdi) will appear and conquer the world for Islam in the last days.

Ayatollah Ali grieved that both his aerial attacks of Israel in 2024 were ineffective, but:-
1. The 1st Israeli Retaliation on 19 April 2024 was the limited airstrike in central Iran killing most of Iran's nuclear scientists and top military and political leaders
2. The 2nd Israeli Retaliation on 26 October 2024, wiped out most of the Iranian air defence.
Ayatollah Ali grieved that all their most advanced missiles and drones are not matched to the superior arsenal of Israel and the West.
12 Day War 2025 (13 June – 24 June 2025)
Israel launched surprise attacks on key military and nuclear facilities in Iran, assassinated prominent military leaders, nuclear scientists, and politicians, and damaged or destroyed air defenses.
On June 22, 2025, the United States B2 bombers attacked and obliterated three nuclear facilities in Iran under the code name Operation Midnight Hammer.
Ayatollah Ali has
constantly warned the US that if they or Israel attacks any of its nuclear
sites, he will send his full arsenal to wipe out Israel and all US military
bases in the Middle East. On June 22, US had obliterated all its three nuclear
facilities.
The Grieving Ayatollah
In complete hopelessness, Ayatollah Ali then sets his faith for the Mahdi to appear soon. He sends his limited, outdated and inferior arsenal of weapons to attack the military bases of the West knowing very well that it will be suicidal to attack the invincible US fleets.
Since 2026 Feb. 28, combined U.S.-Israeli airstrikes began,
with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei killed alongside dozens of
senior political and military leaders in strikes on his office in Tehran. Iran
immediately began retaliatory attacks targeting Israel, U.S. facilities and
allies across the Middle East.
Since then, Iranian navy and defenses were annihilated by US. Even the Straits of Hormuz is now under US control. Most of the factories manufacturing its missiles and drones were destroyed. Without political and military leaders Iran is in shamble. Frequent street protests and rebellions result to tens of thousands of demonstrators killed so far.

Ali return (unless he resurrects from death with great

and then annihilate the invincible fleets of his enemies (and do damage)?
